The game of poker is a popular game upon which the players will need to make some strategy decisions that will affect the outcome of the game. There are many different types of poker games but the object of the game seems to be the same for all.
Your objective is to get a better hand than the dealer and your opponents.
Let’s take five-card stud for instance; the dealer will distribute five cards to each player and also to the dealer. With these five cards you try to keep at least two or more cards and then are re-dealt as many cards as you discarded (if you turned in two cards you will be re-dealt those two cards).
Never discard pairs (two like cards), if you have no pairs then keep a high card such as an Ace or King (a lot of times players will win with an Ace high). You goal is to get a winning hand.
Try building your hand into a three of a kind (i.e. 2,2,2), four of a kind (i.e. 2,2,2,2), full house (i.e. 2,2,2,3,3), straight (i.e. 2,3,4,5,6), flush (i.e. all the same suit), straight flush (2,3,4,5,6 all of the same suit) or a royal straight flush (i.e.A, K, Q, J, 10 all in the same suit).
A list of winning combinations will be listed at the web sight upon which you are playing and the credits you will receive for each winning combination. The hardest combination to achieve would most likely be the jackpot winner.
